What happens in the show?
Poppy and Will like their little garden but then it gets destroyed to make a car parking area. They feel very sad as they miss the things that are in it like bees, butterflies and flowers, as they loved playing with them. Then their mum and dad realise they are very sad because they miss their garden so they decide to destroy the car parking area and make a new garden.
Describe the show in five words
Sweet, enjoyable, good puppets, about the environment and nature.
What did you like most about the show?
I liked the chalk drawing that we got to do. I liked the dad's puppet car best.
What did your grown-up think of it?
"This is a gentle show for pre-schoolers really. I'm always a bit suspicious of adults playing kids, but as the cast relaxed into the show, they conveyed the characters of Poppy and Will well, making good use of puppets for the parents. We liked the audience participation for the kids using chalk and also creating the garden. Simple (sometimes a bit simplistic) story about how wildlife is being affected by so many gardens being paved over. Would have appreciated the story not being so gender stereotyped, but the message was clear for the kids."
Would you tell your friends to come and see the show?
The show is mainly for little ones but I enjoyed it too.
