What age did you first practice magic?

I don’t ‘practice magic’. I just happen to know one trick and it’s the easiest trick in the world.

How do you wind down after a show?

With difficulty. But I love a late night ‘snackathon’ before I go to bed.

What's your secret talent?

I don’t keep any of my talents secret. I milk them for all they are worth (like my one magic trick).

When did you last cry?

Last month when we had to put my Mum’s dog down. He was on his last legs, blind, incontinent and on a drip, and he was still wagging his tail when we said goodbye to him. R.I.P. Moghli.

Have you ever made an enemy?

I don’t think so.

What's your earliest childhood memory?

My friend Dana Casini laughing at my thick cotton knitted knickers. They were pretty weird… what was my mother thinking?

What did you last dream about?

I can’t remember.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?

I don’t know. Ten years ago I had no idea where I was heading, and I’m very happy where I am. I hope to continue this trend.

How many times do you look in the mirror every day?

Too many to count.

Who do you envy?

Anyone who feels absolutely sure that they have met ‘the one’.

What stresses you out?

The expectation that one ought to be witty rather than honest, when answering these kinds of questionnaires.

What is your vice?

Stuffing my face before I go to bed. Is that a vice?
