Voodoo Vaudeville has been described as a polarising show that some might find offensive. But unless you happen to be an evangelical preacher from 19th century Alabama, you are more likely to be shaking your head at the sheer silliness of some of the proceedings rather than being shocked into leaving.

Over the course of the hour, compere and variety veteran Chris Cresswell cracks the gags and introduces his three glamorous female assistants who, between changing from PVC dresses to corsets to nothing at all, romp and roll their way through a crash course in Burlesque routines and Edwardian style suggestiveness. There's a reverse strip tease, there's even a fan dance, but its all done with tongue firmly in cheek. At times this show is more Carry On Camping than genuine Vaudeville, but then that's what makes it an enjoyable Fringe show rather than simply an old-school smut-fest. Sexy, Gothic and shambolic all at the same time, if its titillation you want, the Voodoo Vaudeville is your place.
